Blurb: Permission To Be Selfish

You Do You This Holiday Season

You have my blessing to be selfish this holiday season.

What do I mean? You can’t show up for others if you can’t show up for yourself. As a people pleaser, this was a hard concept to wrap my head around, so I know that it most likely will be met with the same cynicism as I had - but hear me out.

I am a big fan of the holidays, Christmas especially. But every year I seem to forget the stressors that come with this time of year! Do you know what combats anxiety and stress? You guessed it, moving your body. Getting some form of exercise will help you reduce the added pressures of the season, and allow you to show up where you’re needed most.

So, for the sake of your health, and being present with those that you love - Take a scheduled 30, 45, or even hour out of your day, go for a walk, do some yoga, pick up something heavy, and get sweaty!

Be a little “selfish” with your time! You’ll thank me later.
